Overview
Exceleration Gymnastics Center opened its doors in 2007 in response to a growing demand for quality gymnastics instruction in the Toledo area.
Mission:
Our mission is “to develop well-rounded student-athletes by providing a safe and exciting environment that encourages physical development, social interaction, and a competitive spirit."
Philosophy:
For class students new to the sport, our goal is make gymnastics fun through games and other structured activities. These activities teach the basic fundamentals of movement and flexibility, as well as teamwork and other valuable skills that will be used in advanced classes and competitive gymnastics.
For team members, we believe that hard work and self-disciple the are hallmarks of our most successful gymnasts. We strive to instill these values in all our team members, as they ultimately determine the level of personnal success for each gymnast, and the team they compete for. Team members also serve as a role-model for all the class students who admire their talents. Our aim is to pursue the highest level of success in USAG competition.
Atmosphere:
Many parents and gymnasts ask us, "so what is the atmosphere in your gym?" The answer to this simple, yet insightful question is that while we take competition very seriously, we have not adopted a "win at all costs" philosophy. Team members are coached and encouraged to do their very best, but we refrain from exerting undue stress in order to achieve it.
Members of the competitive team at EGC spend a lot of time with each other, and often form strong friendships over the course of their gymnastics careers. They share in each other's challenges & successes during practice while traveling to meets throughout the competition season. It is for these reasons that the atmosphere is friendly, but focused.
